WDC v5.4

Webtech Driver Center version 5.4 has been released. This release includes a fully electronic Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (eDVIR), a real-time GPS connection status monitor, and ways to ensure compliance in the event of any GPS connection losses.

ELECTRONIC DRIVER VEHICLE INSPECTION REPORTS

Eliminate paper and ensure compliance with a fully electronic Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (eDVIR) workflow.

Inspections, repairs, and eDVIR certifications can now take place on site, without need for paper reports.

Mechanics can login to Webtech Driver Center and confirm the status of repairs on the device, and Compliance Officers can carry out inspections by reviewing the inspection, repair, and compliance information stored on the device.

REAL-TIME GPS CONNECTION STATUS MONITOR

Ensure accurate location and fuel tax reporting by monitoring the status of your GPS connection in real-time.

Connection to a GPS signal is now indicated in Webtech Driver Center. Drivers can now see if their device is no longer connected to GPS, and then switch to paper logs to ensure compliance with IFTA (International Fuel Tax Agreement) regulations.

GPS CONNECTION LOSS NOTIFICATIONS

Improve compliance by notifying drivers and recording when GPS fix is lost so drivers can take appropriate action.

Regulations require that the location of a Duty Status change is recorded. Webtech Driver Center displays a warning when a GPS connection is lost for more than 2 and a half minutes while driving, or more than 15 minutes while stationary, which allows drivers to switch to paper logs.

In addition, any automatically generated “Driving” or “On-Duty” records that are missing accurate location (due to GPS connection loss) are indicated with “No GPS Fix“. Drivers can then manually correct the location later in their electronic logs.
