Alerts

Fleet activity policies can reduce fuel costs and help meet service level agreements, improve safety, and identify driver behavior problems as they occur. You can create alerts based on these policies, and receive real-time notification of important events.

Named alerts define the conditions you want to monitor. A triggered alert forwards an email about the event to specified recipients. Webtech Fleet Center supports two types of alerts, which are set up differently.

Choose the alert type you want to set up:

  • Movement Alerts – speeding, excessive idling, or long stop times
  • Telemetry Alerts – vehicle subsystems and switches, including safety exceptions, equipment status changes (for example, a vehicle door opens or a refrigeration system goes down) and human-triggered events such as panic alarms or pothole reports.

To monitor alerts triggered within the last 48 hours, check the Alerts Dashboard.
